A different way of working

I have worked in the brand design industry for 25 years, half of that spent working at board level within some of the world’s largest global brand agencies.

In 2009, I started Brand Arkade. I had a young family by that time and needed to find a different way of working - fewer airplanes!

I was lucky to have made an impact with some amazing clients who supported the development of the business and we've kept going through recommendations, great relationships and a particularly helpful way of working.

Flexibility is key to all we do - location, budgets and approaches. Most frequently we work directly with clients as external consultants; however, sometimes we are engaged as ‘specialists’ within other consultancy teams or as part of a client’s internal team.

We are as happy to do small elements of projects as we are to manage an entire programme and we are nomadic in terms of our ‘place of work’ – each project will have a location that most effectively fosters engagement with the client team and the brand’s respective customers and stakeholders.

Happy clients make our day...

I first had the pleasure of working with Robin during a project to relaunch the Pearson brand to reflect the company’s transition from book publisher to digital learning company. This was a highly complex project involving a portfolio of hundreds of brands across multiple markets. In her role as brand strategist, Robin led the brand strategy and architecture work applying her clear-thinking, intellectual curiosity and determination to roll the new brand out around the world. Her relationship building skills, ability to influence and tenacity were critical to the success of the project. I loved partnering with Robin and found her to be a brilliant sounding board, knowing that she would always deliver strategic, considered and honest feedback. She’s also a lot of fun with a wicked sense of humour and an infectious energy.
